Changes...

they are a-coming. I found someone to "stylize my blog" and she's going to start working on it soon. So don't be surprised if you click in one day and the place looks completely different. I think, after 4+ years, it's time for a change. And part of the cost will go to a good cause.

It took me a while to identify the dog tag. The image was somewhat distubing until I did....

They aren't pastels silly whirly-bird man! You've been over in the sandbox too long and it's affected your vision.

Pogue ~ sorry to have disturbed you!

First reaction: "I like it!" It also seems to load faster for some reason

Got it. Beige, puce, azure, and mauve are no longer pastels.

Pastels are pink, light blue, light green, sunshiney yellow, etc. Or so I thought...

I'm seeing a grey-ish blue, rust, a greenish yellow (that I would consider close to a pastel) and grey. Maybe it's my browser...

Seeing steel blue (your grey-ish blue), rust, light beige and medium beige; only green or "puce" I see is the helo photo and it's a cross between forest and lime green.

Have a feeling Bill doesn't sew or do quilting (yes, I know quilts involve sewing but they are kind of a stand-alone thing) -- "pastels" are usually: pale blue (sky blue), pale pink, pale green (mint green?), lilac, light yellow, light coral - basically a very little bit of a primary or secondary color mixed with a lot of white (speaking from the "color wheel" perspective of an art minor :)

and, technically - beige is a "neutral"

I still like it, but do keep the text to the left and the links to the right (holdover from my journalism studies)

While I was okay with the prior set up, this one just seems to be "cleaner". That's why I was "oh wow, I like this!"

I like the clean-ness of it too. I was never happy with the links on the left - always looked out of place to my eye.

I'm also finding that the new Blogger template editors are pretty groovy. Quite easy to use once I figured out what the heck I was doing!

Thanks for the feedback!
