Eventually.

48 inches deep. I'm comfortable just looking at it. Can't imagine how comfortable it must be to sit on.

I love the lines on these.

I had an advisor in college who had that exact chair. It was very comfortable. Heavy damn thing, though....I'd hate to be the one lugging that around come PCS time.

I'm ok with heavy. My Daddy was a woodworker and built furniture. The family joke is that a tornado could rip through my parents' home and it could come tumbling down around them.
But the furniture would stand.
The chair is a la 1950s library era. Which is why I love it. I love the lines. I love where the design came from. I love the color. Now, all it needs is a fireplace bracketed by 10' high bookcases.
Oh, and none of this will be bought while MacGyver is still on active duty. There's no way on God's green earth that I would spend that kind of money and then allow military movers (or any movers) to touch it.
I'm a redhead but I'm not crazy.
